This Wednesday, April 21, 2021, join your fellow community members in demanding the Barrio Logan Community Planning group include at least 30% affordable units in all new housing projects..

Then what?

1. After you join, wait for agenda #8. It will come up after the Barrio Community Plan Update status presentation.
2. Wait for them to announce they are taking comments from the public.
3. Raise your virtual hand
4. They will unmute you and call your name when it's your turn to talk.

You can say

“Hi my name is ________ and I live in Barrio Logan.

[Tell your story - why does Logan need more affordable housing than the rest of San Diego? Have you or people you know struggled to find housing? How? What will happen if housing prices keep going up in the neighborhood?]

IMPORTANT, at the end of your comment, say: Please put a requirement in the community plan so new housing projects have to build at least 30% affordable units! Thank you."
